Banana Yogurt Conditioner

I just tried this recipe today and my hair is really moisturized, bouncy, and shinny.

Note: if you use fresh bananas make sure you blend them very well or you will end up with chucks of banana in your hair which is very hard to get out. That is the reason why I use baby bananas

Ingredients

1/2 cup of plain yogurt
I pack or jar of organic baby bananas
1 egg
2 tbsp of honey
2 tbsp of herbal oil (optional)
2 tbsp of olive oil (if not using the herbal oil increase by 2 more tbs)

Directions

1. Blend all ingredient very well with an electric blender.
2. Apply to hair and comb through with a wide tooth comb for even distribution (I wet my hair with warm water but you can use it on dry hair also)
3. Cover with a plastic cap. Leave in hair for 30 min.
4. Rinse with cold water
5. Wash, condition and style

I will be posting the directions on how to make the herbal oil sometimes today.

Benefits

Yogurt softens hair, and helps eliminate frizz. It also helps eliminate dandruff and leaves hair shinny and manageable.

Bananas is very rich in carbohydrates, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals. It fights hair dryness, frizzy hair, thinning, as well as graying. It also promotes growth and hair glossiness.

Eggs is a natural moisturizer and does wonders on dry damage hair. The fatty acid present in eggs fight dandruff and leaves hair shinny with more bounce.

Honey is a moisturizer and one of great benefits in honey. It has the ability to retain moisture to the hair shaft which makes it a great moisturizer for soft and shinny hair. It is water soluble which makes it easy to rinse from hair.

Olive Oil conditions and smooths the hair and protects the outer layers of the hair. The outcome is shinny smooth hair.

Feel free to customize this recipe to meet your own needs but just make sure you balance your proteins and moisturizer or your hair can become too hard from too much protein or too mushy from to much moisturizers.
